How To Write Reviews with Jo Case, 10am-12pm
Jo Case is books editor of The Big Issue and a former deputy editor of Australian Book Review who reviews regularly for the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald.
How To Write For Television with Paul Kooperman, 12-2pm
Paul Kooperman has written for Home and Away, worked in the script departments for television shows, received several TV commissions, is the author of two books on screenwriting and lectures in screenwriting at the JMC film school in South Melbourne.
How To Write Computer Games with Paul Callaghan, 2-4pm
Paul Callaghan is a freelance writer, game developer, and co-director of the Freeplay Independent Games Festival.
How To Edit Your Work for Publication with Davina Bell & Julia Carlomagno, 4-6pm
Davina Bell and Julia Carlomagno are both founding editors of the literary quarterly harvest magazine. Davina is also a children’s book editor and Julia has worked on Voiceworks and with the Melbourne Writers’ Festival

Lunchbox/Soapbox is a simple idea; an old-fashioned Speakers’ Corner in the middle of the city, in the middle of the day. Bring your lunch along to this bite-sized session and listen to Chris Flynn talk about the role of heroic dogs in literature and movies.

Overland Judith Wright Poetry Prize

Overland magazine poetry editor Keri Glastonbury presents the winning poets from the Overland Judith Wright Poetry Prize for New and Emerging Poets, supported by the Malcolm Robertson Foundation.
Enjoy readings from the winning poets, plus a special presentation by the Age poetry editor Gig Ryan on beginning a poetic career.
